I like your offer adam808 and I have just the right place for you to upload the complete DVD's. Pm me if you are still interested on releasing those DVD's(I will rip them for the others,and I am planning to use the best codecs,H.264 OR WM9 codec.I will also try to make them small sized(ranging 150 MB-200 Mb).

P.S I may be a new member,but when it goes to DVD rips I'm one of the best

2. I BOUGHT them for like $150 each from a FRENCH company and had to have them shipped here
3. The DVDs are dual-layer so even uploading the DVDs would take quite some time seeing as there are 8 of them.
4. That is illegal!
5. I tried dubbing some myself, not the easiest thing to do.
6. Tsuneko has already got this covered so there is no need for anyone really to encode other English eps.

Really, you're probably just looking for the VOBs so you can re-distribute them. None of us play that way. You want the DVDs, buy them like Tsuneko and I had to.

Being a product designer myself, I have to put my 2 cents in.

1:  Obviously.
2:  I got mine for free (except the last one, which ran about $200).  Product samples are nice.
3:  Of course it would take awhile.  Who's saying it won't?  Thank you Nall, for pointing out the obvious.

5:  Dubbing is horrendously tedious.  I can't argue with you there.

We haven't seen Tsuneko around for a while.  Methinks it has something to do with this.

ElonNarai disappeared after completing his goal, does this mean we will never see Tsuneko again?

I'm happy and sad at the same time, while it's great to see a goal completed, it's like completing a puzzle:  once you are done, what's left?  I always knew this day would come, and I thought that I would be excited, but I'm feeling a bit let down.

I am warned about NOT asking you to Reencode.

Something you must never do: Tell tsuneko he must re-encode his episodes.

And therefore I want to apologize beforehand. But is there is a possibility for you to do HQ Rips (688*512) form a non-cropped source?

which is not good as we are missing some % of the picture (SPC releases in comparing to KNT releases.)

I have not been around for some time as i have been somewhat elsewhere in the world. (there is no pizza here at all)

I will begin to reup new episodes soon, but no i will not be disappearing anytime soon, i will probably begin to assist on the subbing of KNT as i have LD copies of most of the episodes. but we shall see on time constraints.

Thank you for the info about shots - I didn`t knew that. 
It seemes to me, that such "shots" do provide a closer views of a characters. Just compare KNT and SPC screenshots (resized to 320*240)





BUT, this technique reduced the original quality of video    Does it realy had to be done?

New KNT subbed episodes would be great.

If you want to sub KNT, look for help... Sub an anime is a difficult thing that someone can't do alone (I said the same to a guy who is subbing Yu Yu Hakusho in spanish)

Tsuneko did no cropping of his encodes. He uploaded it in that format to KEEP all of the picture that his PAL source had. I forget the dimensions of PAL but may I remind you that NTSC is just 720x480.

There is no better source than the French DVDs for video except the film itself. Since none of us have access to the vaults, that's the only thing we got.

Encoding is a drag, nuff said.

i know you are all impatient well it has been some time since i've upped an episode. but give it a bit longer. we will have some more done soon.

My server that had the episodes on has had some technical failiures, so i'm still waiting for the drives to be recovered. (was firey, flames and smoke) so you'll just need to be patient. The drives are fine however, but of course i need to check them before returning them to another machine. on a positive note, i will be having a new machine shortly, so MAY do a bulk re-encode of the earlier episodes to match them all up to 175MB now i have the better encoding algorithm.

I will also do 1 and ONLY 1 HD episode of SPC. so i will leave one of you to make a thread and do a vote on the best episode. (if it is a two parter, i will do both) SO CHOOSE WISELY

The deadline for this will be june 2010. so i can leave the computer doing the upscaling.
