Well, will see how attaching this thing works....  I am not sure who ripped this, but I found it on winmx from a user by the name of edoropolis_808, so credit goes to them I guess. Episode 8, Kind Of A Drag, 283mb, I figure it is the Jade DVD rip.

I'm trying to seed and it's not working right. I can get on the torrent but hardly ever connect to anyone. So far only uploaded 160 MB it says. That's less than one copy Sad

I just wanted to thank you, Tsuneko, for the work you've done on providing such awesome quality SPC episodes! My boyfriend and I really got a kick out of watching the first episode... it's been a while since we've seen the series and having it in high quality like this really makes it worth it. ^^ <3

I'm glad that more torrents are being released now too... I can't seem to get it on any other P2P programs at all. :X Thanks for seeding! ^^

Edit: Seems as if I can't download episode two either... I think it's because it's an attachment... every time I click on it, I get a message saying that I can't download attachments from this forum.  Undecided Nevermind... tried it in Firefox and it's working now.  Polly Love

Thank you Tasuki - it's really appreciated when i get compliments like this  Polly Wink It takes on average 18-24 hours per episode to get them to the standard you download them from, and i use my own VHS tapes for the audio, or some tapes from a good friend of mine from Australia. Editing the audio to reduce noise and amplify the volume takes about an hour. whereas to lipsych to the french video is what takes the longest, averaging out at 6 hours as i have to watch the episode very carefully, and scrutinise the audio to ensure close enough match to not look out of place. on 99% of the episodes it needs at least 15+ edits, where i need to add or take away audio. adding is a lot harder to do, but from the episodes i've done so far, no-one has noticed where i have done it so i think my little secret there is safe with me Smiley

The video is mastered at 700mb per episode. this is so i can gain maximum data for each frame. There is about 15% quality loss between the episode i release and the mastered one. but the dvd's themselves have pixellation on them on certain episodes. so if you see a scene which is pretty blocky, its not my fault, it's the way the dvd was encoded.

the video is then compressed with Divx, to ensure we get a nice 'standard' size if you will, works out at about 150mb of video data. The audio is stereo MP3, about 18-19mb depending on what the episode is. binding the two streams together is done with VdubMod, which then ensures i can lipsynch without having to encode it over and over again.

When i'm happy with the episode, i then 'final' encode it to the episode you get. It is done with what is known as "2 pass" the first pass takes all the frame data and motion data and ensures the codec smooths and blends the frames coherently, as well as completely synchs the audio. this process takes about 3 hours to do, and then we have the episode!

Well i'll go back to my den now as i'm sure none of you are really interested in this lol

but thats what makes the episodes i release.

If you can't seem to download the Torrents, try saving the target and then manually adding the Torrent into your Torrent downloader.  Ninety percent of the time it works.  That's what I had to do.
